Make Your Makeup Work With Your Clothing

Pastel blues to a brilliant reds, are colors that sure to be in your wardrobe for this season. But sometimes women have something on their head, whether or not to match with their clothes.
You might be tempted to reach for blue eyeliner when wearing a turquoise blouse with resist.

Now let’s take more closer to these clue below on how to match your makeup with your outfit

Clothing Color: Pastel The right idea, says Marilyn Young, a celebrity makeup artist who’s worked with Ashley Judd, is to add some bright color to your makeup look, particularly your lips, to offset your outfit and avoid looking too washed out.

Great to try: Golden shadow, such as Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow duo in Moondust ($30), paired with a pink lip gloss, such as Guerlain Terracotta Gloss and Shine in Terre Indienne ($20).

Clothing Color: Dark Classic dark colors, such as purple and navy, are easy to complement by choosing warm-toned cosmetics that finish off your fashion statement. For extra glamour, pick a reddish orange gloss (excellent with navy) or a sheer plum lipstick (tops for purple clothes).

Great to try: A dusty rose blush (such as Bobbi Brown blush in Desert Rose, $19) and eye shadow with a hint of reddish brown (we like Lancome Colour Focus Quad in 4Romance, $37). For extra drama, add bluish-pink lipstick (such as Guerlain Divinora Color and Shine SPF 12 in No. 275, $22).

Clothing Color: Bright Look for natural makeup shades. Sheer lip color and an apricot-toned blush will accentuate your features, but not compete with the vibrant colors of your clothes, advises Naieem Abdool, makeup artist and founder of Paint Cosmetiques.

Great to try: Two of our favorites: Shu Uemura blush in Bird of Paradise ($25) and Dior Addict Ultra-Shine in Shiniest Raspberry ($23).
